Week 1: Love Vs. Infatuation

The objective of this week is to show the difference between True Love and Infatuation. There will be more meat to come. The main passage is 1 Corinthians 13. Jeff Schmidt actually already came up with a great lesson contrasting the story in 2 Samuel 13 and 1 Corinthians 13. PLEASE POST YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS!!! especially ones that will help people apply the two passages to their lives.

NOW IN COMMENTS >>> JEFF SCHMIDTS VERSION OF THE LESSON with a great idea for an icebreaker and a great way to get the group involved!!!!

Perhaps this poor woman was reading between the lines? Or perhaps this fellow that she was after was stringing her and her feelings along and saw that he was getting too close; especially being married w/ children?

Jeff Schmidt came up with this lesson...
from what I here he had a white board or poster board and drew a line down the middle. He did a Hang Man Game for them to come up with the words "Infatuation vs. Love" (Great idea for guys with a competive spirit). And then as he studied the two passages (1 Cor 13, 2 Sam 13). (Great idea to use the story in 2 Sam 13) !!!

Won't you tell me?" Amnon said to him, "I'm in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister." 5 "Go to bed and pretend to be ill," Jonadab said.
